Volunteering at the library can be very rewarding and is useful on resumes and helps build social skills. If you have a willingness to help then we can use your talents.
We can use your help with our upcoming programs. Library Staff or a Presenter will conduct the event – no experience on your part is required – just a willingness to help and have fun!
What do volunteers do when they help with a library program?
- Help with setup – we always need an extra set of hands
- Take pictures (we provide the camera)
- Count participants
- Help with demos
- Give crafts a try and help patrons get inspired
- Engage patrons during game programs (from cards to board games to reading instructions)
- Keep refreshments flowing – from setup to refilling water
- Assist with clean up
We can use your help with our upcoming programs. To see a list of our programming needs and to sign up, please check out our Sign up genius. If you are new to our volunteer program, we will contact you as soon as possible to complete the volunteer process.
We can’t say thanks enough for your help to make these events run smoothly!
Donations are what make many of our programs possible — especially our Summer Reading Program! Your cash donations allow the library to provide services and purchase new materials at a discounted rate. If you have a favorite subject area or interest let us know. Memorials are a great way to pass on someone’s love of reading. We also accept gently used paperbacks for our paperback exchange.
